I miss that little drama queen.

    el cuarto comĂșn
yup. that's where I am and that's where I've been for the past hour or so working on my paper. I picked a stupid subject, but I'll make it work. I want to have at least 5 pages for my rough draft tomorrow and then the real thing is due on Tuesday and it needs to be ten pages. I don't know if I can do ten pages. Seven, maybe. Ten, I'm going to have to make stuff up. But it will get done regardless. I always get stuff done.
    Clutch.

Last night was intense. Philip and I left school around 11:20ish and we didn't get back until 2... AM. That was a really long time to be out. I shouldn't have gone out, but I wanted to, so I did. And I enjoyed our outing.
We drove down PCH, parked across the street from Cher's house, kinda, got in the back seat, and made out for hours. Fun.
I just don't want things to go too fast. I'm a horn dog and I tend to pull boys in, but I don't want to do that with Philip. I don't want to corrupt this one. I always move too fast with boys. It's fun and I enjoy it, but I need to calm down.
I'm not going to make any big moves until he does. I'll let him control what we do from now on. I'm down for anything, so he's in charge.
I like guys in charge anyway
I want more action, but I have to wait. I can't go too fast or rush into anything.

I don't like peas. I always eat around them.
    Anyway...
I talked to Rebecca and Tania today and it was wonderful!
I miss them terribly and all of my other friends too.
    Skype it nukkas!

We were supposed to play pool, have a barbeque, and go on a safari to find Mr. Espinoza, but no.

I was supposed to go to a taping of The Price is Right tomorrow, but unfortunately, it got cancelled. So fortunately I don't have to wake up at 6 AM.
For my speech class we have to go in to the Speech Lab at least twice to practice our speech. I signed up to go tomorrow and practice speech 3. But last night I realized I wasn't going to be at school, so I had one of my friends who has that class Monday mornings cross my name off the list.
So it turns out I could have given my practice speech tomorrow. Great. So now I'm going to have to hope I get a spot for 4 and 5.

It's funny how things turn out.

That is my favorite Spongebob episode of all time. You know, the one with the Dutchman's Treasure board game, and Mr. Krabbs thinks it's a real treasure map? That one. It's great.
And FYI, Nick and Nora's Infinite Playlist is going up on the favorites list. Fo shizz.

    fantastico!
Blogging every day is kinda cool. I get stuff off my mind and what not.
As far as what's on my mind right now...
I really enjoy spending time with Philip. He's a really good guy and I like cuddling with him. We've had plenty of alone time, and we're working up to making out, but it's not really happening yet. We kinda did last night and today, but not really. Whatev.
And the pie festival was kinda lame. I was expecting much more. But I pretty much spent the whole day with Philip, so that was nice.
I miss Rebecca. I wish I could talk to her. I feel like she's upset at me about something, but I can't imagine what. She hasn't been returning any of my messages or anything, and it's kinda sad.

would definitely wake me up right now, for I am extremely tired.
I had a long day, but it was totally fun.
I woke up around 8 to get ready to leave for Disneyland at 9:30. We got there around 11 and stayed til about 10.
I missed Disneyland for sure. I hadn't been since band went in December, or whenever it was, and I'm not counting Grad Nite. And I missed Kim Kim Cachow. I wanted to do all the silly things we'd do on all the rides, but I couldn't. Not by myself.
But I had a really nice time today.
Hopefully tomorrow will be good too.

Cuddling with Philip tonight was great.

I would've liked to spend all of that time making out, but whatever.
Oh yeah, we had our first kiss last weekend. The day after I burned my hand.
We have yet to make out.
It'll be a month on Wednesday. That's a record for me.
I would've liked it if he just held me, like spooning, but what we did was fine.
I really want to make out though. I haven't in months and it's killing me.
    I'm a horn dog, I can't help it.

    is for variety.
that's what my day consisted of. most def a variety.
i woke up early for convo pancakes, but there were no pancakes!
if i would've known, i wouldn't have woken up for convo.
but i did, so erin and i went.
and i wore a dress today. it was too hot to wear pants and i would've worn a tank, but i still have a funky tan, so a dress fit the bill.
and i had a waffle for brunch. it was pretty good.
faith and reason was kinda cool today. we got off topic pretty frequently, but prof davenport didn't mind.
speech was fun. we had a joke contest today in class and i came in third. that's pretty cool. erin taught me one last night, so i used that one.
then i had pep band, which was pretty chill.
then we had an orchestra rehearsal which was super long and boring. we had a break, so my new buddy and i went to get smoothies, and we ended up being late and missing a song. whoops.
so once i got back home i just hung out with erin and laura until a few minutes ago.
and i don't feel like using CAPS today.

    What's up with Rebecca?
She won't return my texts, comments, or calls.
    Did I do something wrong?
Did I write something i my letter that upset her?
    What's up?
    I thought we were bffs...

Laura D. and I spent the evening talking about our past lives and how much we've changed. It was nice.
We have more in common than I thought.

9/13-9/16

  • why

Why does Nathan insist on harassing me about the past?

That's not why I contacted him.
I wanted to move past all of that.

Today was one of the best days I've had here I think.
This morning/afternoon I hung out with Erin. We went to lunch and then went to go watch the rugby match against LMU. We didn't understand what was going on, but it was fun anyway. And she kind of convinced me to go to Buenos Aires next year.
I had a dream that I applied a few days back, so that got me thinking that maybe I should apply. But I don't know. I need to apply by Monday and there's so many things to consider.
Then I started getting ready for my date with Philip. It was really fun. I did my hair and I though I was ready to go, but Julie made me look even better. She did my makeup and let me borrow one of her jackets. I think that's the prettiest I've looked without getting dressed up for something.
So then Philip came, and we were off. We went down to this Italian place in Santa Monica for dinner. It was a little pricey, but the food was good. After dinner we walked around for a bit and then we went over to the pier. I would've liked to go on the rides, but that's okay. All we did was walk down and back. Then we walked down on the beach. I had a feeling that's where we were going to kiss, but I pictured it differently. We were standing there for a while, then I looked at him, he smiled weird, and leaned in. It was a nice first kiss. Nothing amazing. We stayed there for a while then we went back to the Promenade and went and ate a crepe. It was delish! After that we went to Barnes and Noble for some things and then we came back home. We hung out here til about 12:30, then he left.
Our first date went well and my day with Erin went well too. I definitely can't complain.

    It definitely brought back memories.
    Good and not-so-good.
    But I love it.
    Even with the memories.

This morning I woke up with yet another song in my head.
"Sunburnt Hand" - Danny Tieger and Julia Nunes
So as I was curling my hair and getting ready to start my day, Sarah comes in and talks to me. Apparently I was distracted because I full on grabbed the wrong end of the curling iron. I dropped it right away, but I held it long enough to do damage. It felt fine for about a minute, but then it started to burn.
I ran it under the sink, put cream stuff on it, and went over to the health center. They fixed me all up, but my hand still hurts really bad and I want to cry. I have to go back on Monday to get it checked out and make sure they don't need to cut any fingers off.
    jk. It isn't that bad.
I'm just bummed I can't work out tonight. Hopefully I'll be okay next week.
But isn't that weird about the song?

9/9-9/12

  • sleepy

I have been sleepy since I got back from hanging out with my mom.

But as soon as I got back I showered and got ready for orchestra rehearsal. So I couldn't fall asleep.
Then after rehearsal I couldn't fall asleep because I was on the phone.
And then after I got off the phone I ate and watched a movie.
And now I'm sleepy again, but not ready to go to bed.

Now it's that other one that is so not Pepperdine appropriate.
    Nice D, nice.
FYI: if you're going to study out loud at 1 in the morning, go do it where no sleepy people are around. Or don't speak super loud like some D Suite people...

I can't get that song out of my head...
    Seriously.
And I really want to go outside and skip. But I don't want to go by myself. So I guess my skipping will have to wait.

Today was amazing. I don't know why. It was incredibly deep, but I loved it.
I ended up staying with Laura and Bekah til 4, then we all went to bed.
I spent all morning and afternoon working on my speech, which was on a pretty deep topic. "Please Hear What I'm Not Saying" - Charles Finn. Look it up.
After I gave my speech one of my classmates thanked me for giving it on that topic. I felt really good about myself that I was able to touch someone like that.
As soon as I got in from speech, Laura F. asked if I wanted to go bake stuff with her. So I changed into some jeans and tagged along. I don't know if Laura D. told her I needed to talk to her and that's why I got invited to tag along, or if she just wanted me to tag along. Either way, it worked out and we talked anyway. I feel like Laura and I are becoming incredibly close. I like it. She's like my big sister.
After we were done baking we headed back to Hayes for some Career Center presentation. I didn't really need to go, but I told Sarah I would, so I went. Whatev.
Then after that I was on the phone for about an hour with Rebecca. I was a really nice chat. I needed that.
After I got back in to D suite I changed and went out for a run. I haven't ran in forever so I know I'm going to be sore all over tomorrow. But that is totally okay.
I've just been thinking about stuff since I've been back home.
    I love this place.
