Spare

When my alarm went off this morning, I seriously considered texting Daniel to tell him I wasn't coming. After a brief internal struggle, I got out of bed and got ready to go bowl. I showed up at the exact same time as Jacob & Daniel and Tori showed up. We were waiting for Eden, so we played some of the arcade games until she showed. I was more than a bit scared that she would show up with Nathan, but she didn't. I'm pretty sure I would've left had he come. Not very classy, but I don't think I would've been able to be there with him.

We bowled 2 games, laughed about our silly techniques and Eden's spill, stood around for a long time deciding what to do, and then finally went to go get lunch. We were all pretty quiet in the beginning, but once everyone finished eating, we started talking a bit more. Things got a little awkward, at least for me, when Jacob asked if Eden and I had any love interests to speak about. She's still dating Greg and I'm, well, not. Then Eden asked if Daniel was interested in anyone, and he said a few girls, but I didn't look at him to see if he just so happened to look my way. I should've, but I didn't. I think it was just awkward because of what happened last year with me liking Daniel, him asking me to prom, him leaving me high and dry to ask Eden, and Eden wanting to go with him, but saying no because she's a good friend. But whatev. She's taken and that was a year ago.

My chest is cramping up. Ugh... My forearm's been cramping all day too. I think it's because of the bowling.

After lunch, Daniel, Jacob, and Tori were going back to Jacob's house to play video games, but Eden and I decided to go home. I got home around 3 I think, or maybe it was 4, and I finished my Munny. I'm really happy with the way it turned out and I can't wait to make another one.

I've watched TV all evening, aside from a brief outing to the Towne Center, and now I think it's off to bed. I don't know what's in store for tomorrow, but I hope it's good.

naturally flavored

I didn't do anything today, but at the same time, I did a lot.

I woke up kind of late this morning, I think it was around noon, ate, surfed around, and then started being productive.  I primed my Munny, worked out, and sprayed a layer of primer on my Munny in between sets of my workout.  I discovered the On-Demand work outs, so instead of doing my last circuit, I did an On-Demand ab workout.  I think I'm going to be doing those from now on.

I spent most of the afternoon and early evening working on prepping my Munny.  I put more than a few coats of primer on, sanded, and primed some more.  It wasn't until a few hours ago that I started painting.  I was determined to finish it, and I did.  I'm very pleased with how it looks.  All that's left to do is to put the finishing spray on and to assemble.  I'm looking forward to it.

Daniel even called me tonight.  He invited me to go bowling with some of our old friends.  It's early, be it's something to do and I like spending time with Daniel.

monster

I slept in like nobody's business today.  And Diva and Rico were lovin it.

I don't know when I finally got out of the house, but when I did, I went over to Staples, to buy a stapler and a flash drive, and then I went over to Krikorian to turn in my application.  I thought about stopping in to Cold Stone and 31 to apply, but changed my mind about it.

I spent the rest of the day on the computer, and then got in the shower around 7 because I was bored.  When I got out I sent a text to Rebecca asking her if she wanted to hang out, but she never messaged me back.  I got all dolled up for nothing.  And I wanted to go see Kina Grannis tomorrow, but she never got back to me about that either.

Nice.

I think I need to reevaluate some things.

Mini

Grease 2 is terrible. I've never watched the whole thing, but I can't even count how many times I've seen most of it. It's just so bad. The acting, the singing, everything. But Sandy's cousin, or whoever he's supposed to be, is pretty damn cute. I'd be all over that had I gone to Rydell in 1961, shoot. I want one.

Today was pretty nice. I was woken up by a chain text that my mom sent me, but it wasn't all that bad. I went to bed at 4, after finally saying bye to Daniel via fbook, and didnt wake up until 11, so I got a decent amount of sleep. After showering and getting ready, my mom and I set off for our day. We went to some paint store to get the primer and finishing spray I needed for my Munny. Since we were right down the street, we went over to Whittier Buffet for lunch. To be nice, we invited my grandma, who had already eaten, but she came anyway. We ate a lot, including my full grandma, but I wasn't gross full, so that was good. We parted ways, and then it was off in search of felt for the pool table. We found some royal blue felt at Jo-Ann's Fabric, and then came home.

I bought some Super Sculpey at Jo-Ann's, so I figured I might as well start on my Munny. It took me a while, but I sculpted everything the way I wanted, and then later baked it. It's kind of on the rough side, so I'm going to have to sand it. I don't know if I should prime it, then sand it, or vice versa. I think I should sand it first. I would prime it tomorrow, but the primer's still in my mom's car, so it'll have to wait. That's fine.

I haven't done much of anything tonight, so I think I'm going to call it quits soon.

Forum

Today was quite the success.
I woke up at a fairly decent time, like 10:45, and was out of the house a tad after noon. I went over to the Quad to get some shopping done. My first stop was Staples, where I bought some ink and a pencil sharpener. Then I went over to Big 5 and bought a softball shirt. I should have gotten a youth large, but I got an adult small. It's a little big, but it isn't huge. It'll probably shrink. After Big 5 I went over to Micheal's and bought some supplies for my Munny. They didn't have the primer or finishing spray I wanted, but I got everything else. I didn't want to go home yet, so I went to Target and bought some new headphones since mine we a tad busted. I think I finally got home around 3.

My mom got home before 5, which was surprising, but nice. She wasn't home for very long because we went over to my grandparents' house for dinner. My grandpa was at work and my uncle was at the Angel game, so it was just us girls. After dinner and bird watching with my grandma, we watched the first half of the Laker game and then came home.

I spent a long time going through all the forums on the Munny site, and I spent a long time looking at pictures of Munnies. I even printed out a template and drew out kind of what I want. I think it came out really well.

I've been chatting with Daniel for hours tonight about whatever. We got kind of deep for a second talking about how we're glad we're friends again and apologizing for last year. I am really glad we're friends.

Pink

I spent the whole day at my computer. I looked for more jobs, applied to a few more places, looked for Munny ideas, and chatted with Daniel on Facebook.

I threw in some work out time, some food time, and some TV time in their too.

I think I'm going to go out and do stuff tomorrow. I think I want to go to Micheal's to get clay for my Munny and maybe something else to keep me busy, and then maybe go to Target to get ink so I can print out applications.

I need a job.

I will have a job by June 8th.
I will have a job with B.J.s by June 8th.
Because of my job at B.J.s, I will have enough money to get my Holga camera by July 1st.

screen

I really enjoyed how this Memorial Day went down.

My day started the same as it usually does, but then I went to pick up Daniel at noon. Once again, his family was glad to see me. When Daniel wasn't telling me how to get to the art supply store, we just chatted about whatever was on our minds. I feel really comfortable with him, which is good. I'm glad that we're friends and it isn't weird between us.

The art supply store was awesome. Daniel wanted to go to get some white ink for his screen printing, but they didn't have any. We walked around a bit, looking at other art stuff, and I ended up getting one of those Munny toys that I've been wanting. So it wasn't too much of a wasted trip.

It was still early when we got out of the store, so we decided to go to the movies. The movie wasn't going to start for another hour, so we went down to Starbucks to spend some of his gift cards. We both got some new smoothie, which Daniel didn't enjoy so much, and we split a big chocolate chip cookie. After finishing our smoothies, our cookie, and listening to crazy people, we went back to the movies and bought our tickets.

We decided to watch Night at the Museum, and I really liked it. I liked it better than the first one, even though it was even less believable. It even made me cry a little bit. Sad and lame, but whatever. I'm a big softy whether I show it or not. Daniel just thought it was okay, but at least he didn't dislike it.

After the movie we walked around Petco, and then we headed back home. We watched TV at his house until quarter til 6, and then I left for my grandparents' house for dinner. Dinner wasn't all that special, but at least it was food. I stayed for the Laker game, and then headed home at 9. I've spent the evening on the computer talking to Daniel and watching Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Charm School, and now I'm watching New York Goes to Work, which is hilarious.

I don't have any plans for tomorrow, but I hope I wake up in time to lay out and work on my tan. I'm starting to lose it a little bit. But I guess it all depends on the weather...

double dipped

I don't think my dad remembered to have my sandwich double dipped.

Spending time with my other family today wasn't all that bad. When I got to my dad's house, he was out getting snacks, so I was kept company buy my sister until it was time to leave. We got to Dodger Stadium in no time, but I was freezing the whole way there. The AC was set at a toasty 63 degrees. Not cool. We got there early to watch batting practice, but apparently not early enough. There was no action going on when we got in. We sat around for almost 2 hours before the game started. It wasn't until around the third inning that the sun reached us and I finally thawed out. I was ready to go by the fifth inning, but we stayed for the whole thing. Em was starting to get crabby since her team was losing, but she snapped out of it once they started to do well. She got crabby again once the game ended since the Dodgers lost.

We were supposed to barbecue when we got home, but we made a detour and ended up at Phillipe's instead, which I had no complaints about. Of course my sister had to complain. It was too crowded, too old, and it took to long according to her. She just doesn't understand history and great food yet. Idk if she ever will. She isn't much of a chow hound.

The ride home was funny. Emme was totally delirious from being awake for so long and sitting in the sun for hours. She mellowed out once we got home, so that was good. My dad and I washed my car, and then I came home.

My mom was out, she just got back, so I just did my thing and now I'm going to go to bed. I have to wake up tomorrow so I can go get Daniel.

I'm really glad I was able to make it a whole day with my dad, with my hair up, without him noticing my tattoo. If he did notice, he didn't say anything about it, which is perfectly fine with me.

lemon drop

I liked how today went.

I fell asleep real quick last night and woke up all on my own, feeling sore, but refreshed, around 10:30. After having some waffles, I got ready for my day and then headed out to the bank to deposit some money. Instead of going straight home, I went down to the Towne Center and got myself a boba since I had been craving one for a while.

As soon as I got home, I looked up the plane tickets I found last night and booked my flight. It's not for another 2 months, but I am just so excited about it. And I'm excited about my flight too. I'm flying with Virgin, and they seem to do fun, trendy stuff, so hopefully my flight is fun and trendy too. I'm just glad the tickets weren't expensive. I ended up paying more for the No Doubt tickets than I did for my plane tickets.

I spent the rest of the day on the computer and watching TV, trying not to fall asleep so that I would have an easier time tonight. I was talking to Daniel on Facebook tonight, and we made plans to hang out again. He wants to go to some art supply store and maybe go to a movie afterwards.

I hope tomorrow goes okay, and that my dad doesn't make a big deal about my tattoo.

drop

Today was more fun than I was expecting it to be. Laura and I had never spent that much time together, so I didn't really know what to expect.

Unfortunately, my mom woke me up around 7 this morning, and I wasn't able to fall back asleep. I was planning on waking up close to 9, but got out of bed at 7:30. I fixed myself up a bowl of cereal, checked my e-mail, got ready, and then watched MADE as I waited for Laura. I think she got here at about 10:30, and then we were off.

Traffic was bad on the way there, but we still made decent time. I think we got there close to noon, but I'm not exactly sure. We hit all of the major rides, Tatsu being my favorite, and left a bit before 9. I was stupid enough to work out yesterday, so I was walking around all sore today. That part wasn't fun, but it was okay. I'm glad I'm home though.

Traffic was mostly bad coming home, but there was no traffic once we hit the 60. Laura and I were hungry, so we stopped at In-N-Out for dinner. In-N-Out definitely wasn't the same without Katy. I'm just so used to going there with her, so it was weird being at a different one, with a different person.

We left as soon as we finished eating, and were home in no time. Laura stayed for a little bit, and then went home.

I am soooo tired. Waking up early, walking around, and going on roller coasters takes a lot out of a girl. I'm actually going to bed, which is weird. Hopefully I wake up in time to get to the bank to deposit money. I found really inexpensive plane tickets that I want to get asap, so that means putting more money into my account. Oh, money. I love it and hate it at the same time.

titans

I woke up later than I had planned, but earlier than I had to. But it all worked out I suppose.

I rolled out of bed around quarter til 9, and went straight to working out. Those 4 little groups really kicked my butt and I'm already feeling how sore I'm going to be tomorrow. That's great though. If I do them at least 3 times a week and run at least twice, I should be happy. I'm fine with my body now, but I could definitely afford to tighten up and lose a few lbs.

After my breakfast, which pretty much counter acted my work out, it was cinnamon buns, I showered and got ready for my day. I think I was rearing to go by 11, but I didn't have anything to do, so I surfed around and watched TV.

Around 3 Katy and I finally had our Skype sesh. I miss her so much, so it was really nice to see and talk to her, even if it was just through a computer screen... which is kind of weird and kind of awesome all at the same time. How cool is it that people miles apart can video chat?

After our convo, I set out for my grandparents' house, where I had dinner with my mom. She left, but I stuck around for a good hour more until I had to leave for Cal's concert. Eden was there, so I sat with her and her family. I'm glad I wasn't a total loner. I was pleasantly surprised by how well the Wind Ensemble sounded. It made me miss playing that kind of music and playing in front of an audience, even if it was only full of family. Pepperdine's program just wasn't fun. Music needs to be fun and enjoyable.

I was planning on sticking around afterwards and hoping to get invited out to eat, but Eden invited me to go to her school to watch the undie run. We got there just as it was starting and watched for a while, and then joined in. Eden was gun ho about it, taking off her top and shorts, but I just took my top off. And even then, I had an open hoodie on. I don't even go to her school, so why should I show off all of my goods? Maybe next year, if this summer and next semester go the way I hope they go, I'll participate in our undie run. But not if there's only 5 people doing it.

Norms was a hope for me tonight, but it didn't happen, and now I'm pretty hungry. That's okay though. I'll sleep it off. After some drama about tickets, I finally calmed down and am a tad bit excited for tomorrow. Just a tad. I'm a little too stressed about money at the moment. I have less than 100 in my account, and I want at least 300 by the time I book my flight. And each day that passes, the price goes up.

I need a job.

bull

Today, once again, was full of nothingness.

I woke up a little past 12, but had somewhat of a real breakfast this time.  My mom had made cream of wheat for herself, and reheated me up some.  Yum.  I spent the majority of the afternoon watching TV and surfing the internet until I took a break to eat a burger for dinner.  Homemade food is so much better that fastfood.  The rest of the evening was full of the internet, cable, texting, and thinking of things that I want.

I want/need a job.  I really hope I get a call from Hollister and/or BJs.  I would love to work at either of those places.  I'd be fine with any job as long as it paid, but I really want to work at Hollister or BJs.

I want a Lomo Holga 35mm camera.

I want to start summer school asap and finish asap.  Finishing means that a week later, I get to leave for a few days.

I want to go visit Katy.  I'm super excited to go see her since I already miss her like crazy and it's only been a month.

I want to hang out with Daniel again.  I'm sure that once he's done with school we'll hang out again.  He asked if I wanted to see Tom Jones this weekend, but I mean, who wants to see Tom Jones that is under 45?  Nobody.  It would give me a chance to see him, but I told him no.  Maybe I can go visit him sometime.  It would definitely get me out of the house.

I want to get back to Pepperdine ASAP.  I miss being there so much and I can't wait to start classes.  I'm already excited for registering for Spring semester.  I mapped out my courses for like the billionth time the other day, and I will have finished all of my BA requirements for IMC by the end of my third year.  That's a year early.  And if I get into the accelerated masters program, I could get my MBA in 4 years.  That's 2 years early!  Ahhh!  But, if it really goes down that way, I wouldn't graduate with my 2012 class.  We'll see what happens.

boost

I didn't just sit around the house today!

I woke up around 11, made myself waffles for breakfast, and then got ready for my day. I left the house by 1:30 and then went to go vote at Rivera. Nobody was there, so I was able to get in and vote quickly. I realized I needed to get gas, so then I went over to shell to fill up. Some guy came over to demonstrate this detailing spray stuff, but there was no way I was going to buy. After my tank was full, I drove through the carwash and then headed off to Rio.

I was able to register and pay for my lab without any problems except for getting scared by that stupid bear. I don't understand why it scares me so much. I know it's dead and stuffed, in a glass case, but I just can't bare to look at it. Pun intended. I wouldn't mind looking at a live bear at the zoo behind glass, so why is this worse?

After the Rio ish, I went over to BJs to let them know I had applied. I wasn't planning on meeting with anyone, but I was able to speak with one of the managers. He thinks that the restaurant would be a perfect fit for me since I want to be a COM major. He was the server manager, and since I've never worked before, I'd probably start out as a hostess, so he said he'd pass on my application and have the host manager give me a call. That job would be great I think. I was hoping to hear from Hollister, but oh well. But maybe I still will.

I was home around 2:30 and pretty much just sat around as usual. I was planning on going for a run, but my mom was on her way home with food, so I didn't. I have to go tomorrow though.

Tuesday, May 19, 2009

I ended up falling asleep around 6, right as I heard my mom come home.

There's no way I could ever say anything. I'll just go on pretending.

I woke up around 1 today and spent the whole afternoon applying for jobs and scholarships. I was hoping Hollister would call, but I'm starting to lose hope. I applied to BJ's and I'm going there tomorrow, so I hope that goes through if Hollister doesn't.

That was my day. It sucked. I need to go to bed because I want to be up by 11 tomorrow. I'm going to wake up, get ready, vote, go to Rio, go to BJs, and hopefully go in for a group interview at Hollister.

Fab

Today was lame.  Plain and simple.

I was able to bypass Lisa when she came over this morning by staying in bed until noon.  I pretty much just sat around watching TV and surfing around online until around 7 when I finally decided to get out of the house to get something to eat.  Unfortunately, as soon as I closed the door behind me, my mom and Lisa drove up.  There went my stupid plans.  I was under the impression that they would be gone all day and all night, but no.  They both passed out around 10.

The highlight of my night was probably the earthquake that happened around 8:40.  It wasn't too big, but it definitely shook up the house.  It doesn't take much to do that though.

I have nothing else to do tonight, so I think I'm going to go to bed after Daisy of Love.  I need to get out tomorrow.  I can't stay here all day again.  I'll go crazy.

**4:41 AM

I went to bed at 1:30.  It was too hot to fall asleep, so I've been wide awake.  I'm pretty sure something went on in the other room, but I'd like to think it was my imagination.  Unfortunately, I think my imagination is right about this one.  I would love to be wrong.  I would love to be wrong about everything on this subject.

I'm not going to sleep.  I want my mom to know I've been wide awake all night.  She'll be back by 7.  I can totally last 2 more hours.  I'm just so upset.

Livenation

My day didn't start until after 12 again.  I should fix it, but that means going to bed at a decent house.

I spent the first few hours of my day messing around with my i-tunes library and finishing up my playlists.  I'm sure those first hours consisted of some web surfing too.  When I finished, I showered and then got back to my computer.

Surfing pretty much controlled my whole day until my mom got home.  I was expecting Lisa to be with my mom when she got home, but she wasn't.  Apparently she's coming over tomorrow.  Whatever though.  They'll be gone all day/night, so I'll be left to fend for myself as usual.

While on Myspace, I noticed a bulletin posted by Fueled by Ramen, so I clicked on it to see what they had to say.  P!ATD is playing with No Doubt down by San Diego on August 8th, so I checked to see how much tickets were.  They were kind of pricey, and I was hoping Paramore would be with them too, so I nixed that idea.  I did decide to check Paramore's shows though.  They just so happen to be playing with No Doubt in Washington kind of around the same time I was planning on going out there, so I checked with Katy if she'd be down to go.  I didn't have too much time to figure out all the details since my mom and I were going to dinner and a movie, but she said she was down to go.

My mom and I went to Chili's for dinner where I practically inhaled my Margarita Chicken.  It's just sooooo good.  Especially with lime squeezed all over it... yum!  After dinner we met up with my uncle at the movies.  I wasn't quite sure what to expect from Star Trek since I have never watched an episode in my life and I had no clue what the premise was, but that didn't matter.  It started from the beginning and was awesome.  Cuties for sure.

As soon as I got back home I hopped back on the computer and looked up tickets for the No Doubt concert.  I made sure it was okay to get them, so I did.  I was already super excited to go visit Katy, so this is just icing on the cake.  The only downer:  the concert's on Rebecca's birthday.  I don't know how well that's gonna fly, but I guess we'll see.  She wasn't around for my birthday, but going to see my roommate on my best friend's birthday is kind of sad...  But Katy's one of my best friends too.  And I already bought the tickets.  And I could see her whenever I want this summer.

Whatev.

50%

That's the highest score people have gotten on my quiz so far.  Rebecca, Melinda, and Daniel all scored 50s.  I was surprised with Melinda's score.  I haven't talked to her in forever.  Daniel did well, but I was hoping Rebecca would get more than 5.  Willy got 4 right, Laura got 2, and Katy didn't get any.  Sad.

Anyways... I slept in way too long today.  I just really like sleep.  And I did wake up several times, but I fell asleep right after I'd close my eyes again.  And my dream was super weird, and the interruptions in my sleep didn't seem to throw off anything.  I don't really remember it, but I do know there were lots of random people in it and my dad was mad.  What else is new?

I spent the day kicking back on the computer, reorganizing my i-tunes playlists.  I'm almost done.  I have over 2,600 songs, and I have about a quarter left.  It's intense.  Hopefully I'll finish tomorrow.

Tomorrow should be interesting.  I was planning on just staying home as usual, not doing much of anything, but Lisa's coming over for the weekend.  I'm not very fond of her, so I'd prefer not to be around.  Then tonight when we were at dinner with my Uncle and grandparents for my grandpa's birthday, my mom asked my uncle if he wanted to go to dinner and see Star Trek.  I was supposed to see Star Trek with him.  She then invited me to go with the three of them.  I want to go to dinner and a movie, but not with Lisa.  I don't have to talk to her I guess.  I've only met her two times before.  Once when I was 10, the other was last year.  I think I'm good for another 9 years or so before I have to see her again.

Whatever.  I really should get to bed.

Questionable

What if he's right?

I know I'm going to hate myself later for not explaining that, but oh well.

Today was a waste. I slept until around 12:30, and then finally got out of bed to shower. I sat around watching TV, and then I moved some stuff around, but really just made a bigger mess. Now I don't have any room on my bed to sleep comfortably. I was dying without the internet, but when my mom came home, she had paid the cable bill, so the cable and internet were back on.

My night consisted of Parks and Recreation, The Office, 30 Rock, chatting with people, and Facebook. I need to be more productive tomorrow, but how?

message situation

5/14 12:o2 AM

Once again, today didn't go as planned. That's okay though. I got stuff done.

I left the house at 11:30 and set out for the mall so that I could see if Hollister was hiring. After picking out a sweater that was only $6.90 and a V-neck t-shirt, I paid and asked if they were hiring. The cashier showed me where I could apply, so I did. I asked for an interview next week, so hopefully they actually contact me.

From the mall, I headed over to Rio to pay my balance. Parking was a joke, but it shouldn't be an issue once summer school starts. Especially since my first class starts at 8 AM. I paid my balance and tried to add my Geology Lab since I got the permission from the professor, but they told me to come back next week. Whatever.

Getting home took forever. There was a shooting by the 60 on Whittier, so Norwalk was closed. Then Rosemead was being worked on, so I had to go around that. I finally made it home a little after 2, but unfortunately, it wasn't soon enough.

The cable and internet were shut off, so that Skype sesh with Katy wasn't had. Luckily, the cable in my room still works, so I've just been watching that all day.

Idk what I'll do tomorrow.

Outstanding

Today didn't go quite as planned. But nothing ever does, so that's okay.

I woke up a few times this morning, but didn't actually get out of bed until my dad called around 11:30. When I was done talking to him, the smell of sausage coming from the kitchen drew me out of my room. My mom had made me a wonderful breakfast of waffles, eggs, sausage, and grapes. And of course a big glass of milk to drink. After watching an episode of Exiled, I finally got ready for my day.

Last week Yamaha told me that they contacted one of their vendors and had told them about me, and to e-mail them my resume. That was on Tuesday night. I e-mailed them on Wednesday morning. I hadn't heard anything, so Yamaha told me to go down to the vendor to talk to them in person on Saturday. Well, I was a little busy on Saturday, so it had to wait until today since they're closed on Sundays and Mondays. As I was getting ready to leave, I figured I'd check my e-mail once more. To my surprise, there was an e-mail from the vendor. It basically said they didn't need me for just the summer and they didn't know why Yamaha told me to contact them. That's fine though. I didn't really want to work there anyway. So that nicked that idea.

I sat around until maybe 6, when my mom and I left for my grandparents' house. Soon after we got there, my mom, my grandma, my uncle, and I made our way to my grandpa's school, where he was getting a reward for being an outstanding faculty member. He received it once before, but that was a few years ago. After the super long meeting, the four of us went back to the house and had dinner. My mom and I left as soon as American Idol was over, and we've been home ever since.

Once I sat down at the computer I remembered that I found out that The Best Years was still on the air and that I needed to catch up since the season finale is this weekend. I was able to get through three episodes, and have three more to go. Hopefully the internet stays on tomorrow so I can Skype with Katy and finish watching season 2.

Tomorrow should be interesting. I was originally planning on going to Nathan's, then planned on doing nothing besides video chatting with Katy, and now I'm planning on going to the bank and the mall. We'll see what I end up doing...

shine

Another early start to my day. I better get used to it though, considering I'm taking an 8 AM 4 days a week for summer school. Gross.

I woke up at 7, got ready, and was at my dad's by 8. He took my car in to get detailed around 9 and then I went to go pick him up. I wanted to go back to sleep when I got back, but he was making me breakfast, so I stayed up.

TV took over most of my afternoon until I went to pick up Emme from school. She got a big kick out of it, especially when I took her to Jamba Juice. TV took over again once we got back home, then Jen took me to get my car, then it was time for dinner, then I came back home.

I got back around 8:30 and spent a good two hours IMing with Daniel. I think that's a good sign. I still need to figure it out though.

mother's day

I know this is late but... thanks for yesterday.  i had lots of fun on our safari.  we should hang out sometime again.

That's the text message from Daniel that woke me up this morning.  I think we might become more than just friends this summer.  I think that's what I want.

Today felt just like any other day.  My mom and I slept in and then eventually made our way to my grandparents' house where we ate lunch.  Barbeque of course.  We didn't stay all that long and didn't do much of anything when we got back home.  We did order Thai food for dinner though.  That was a little exciting.

Oh yeah!  Nathan, the other one, wants to be friends with benefits.  He wants to "hang out" on Wednesday.  If it were a year ago, I would have.  I know I shouldn't go over, but I just don't know if I have that much will power.  I'll try really hard to contain myself.

Pacquiao!

I have lots to write, but I don't feel like writing. I'm pretty tired. I'll muscle through it though.

I woke up 15 minutes later than I had wanted to, but it worked out fine. I got ready, cleaned out my car, and then I was off to pick Daniel up. I picked him up and then we made two pit stops in search of film for his new Lomo camera. After we found some at CVS, we made our way to the zoo. The 5 was filled with traffic, leaving us plenty of talking time, but we made it there with plenty of time for exploring.

It was hotter than I was expecting it to be, but it wasn't too bad. We made our way through the zoo, caught a show, and then left around 4. Traffic was really bad coming home too, but again, that left us with talking time. Idk what time we got back to his house, I think it was a little after 5, but I was just planning on walking him to his door and then leaving. That didn't work out. I ended up staying until 10:30. We watched cartoons, X3, and LXG, and then I finally left for home, where I spent the evening on the internet and watching SNL.

As far as Daniel goes, I don't really know what I think about him. I know I'm still attracted to him, but I don't know if it would be a good idea to try things a third time. But third time's a charm right? And I don't know what he thinks of me. He wasn't very flirty, but he was talking a lot about stuff we should do in the future. But he left out "should" and just flat out said that we will do all this stuff. But that could go both ways. Friend or girlfriend. I just don't know.

fine

I don't want to post, but I have to, so I'm posting.

I woke up super early, left the house by 7:30, and made it to Kalisto just in time.  I got my hair cut, nothing special, and then made my way back home.  I was ready to fall back asleep, but my mom was making breakfast, so I stayed up to eat.  I ate, surfed around online for a bit, and then it was nap time.

I slept from 11 til 1:30, and I would've slept longer had Laura's call not woken me up.  I freshened up and then left at 2 to meet her at The Block.  I got there quickly despite the traffic, and ended up having to wait over an hour for Laura to get there.  I was able to register for summer school while I waited however.  Unfortunately, the lab I need is full, but I'm sure I can get in if I ask nicely and bat my lashes a bit.

Laura and I pretty much just hung out and walked around for a few hours, and then we ended up at Friday's for dinner.  I don't know what time we left, but I got home a smidge after 8.

I was still tired from waking up early, so I ended up falling asleep again.  Whoops.  I've been up since 11, just surfing around.  I should really try to get some sleep though.  I have to wake up tomorrow to clean out my car and get ready to pick up Daniel.

I hope tomorrow goes well..

Wow

Today was filled, but not really.

I woke up earlier than usual, around 10:30, got ready, and then made my way over to the g-units' house. My mom and I took my grandma to eat at the Olive Garden, her favorite, and then we went to go see Obsessed. My grandma absolutely loves Beyonce, so she was really excited about it. The movie was super cheesy, but the last 20 minutes made it all worth it. That might have been the cheesiest part.

We got back a little after 5, and then my mom and I got home around 5:30, and then I booked it to my sister's soccer game. The refs and goals were late, so I ended up sitting around watching nothing for about half an hour. My sister's team ended up winning 3-0, but she didn't play all that well. That's okay though. She's only 8.

I spent the night at home surfing the internet, watching TV, and chatting with boys. Daniel's coming home tomorrow and we planned a trip for Saturday. I've been wanting to hang out with him for a long time, and we're finally going to be able to this weekend. I hope it goes well. And I hope there's still chemistry. I'd like to start something up with him again, but maybe after spending time with him after so long, I'll realize that I need to move on. And Chris Festa randomly messaged me tonight. He said that he thinks I'm beautiful and that he used to have a crush on me. Random for sure. I humored him and told him I had a tiny crush on him for a second and that we would never make sense in a million years. But I said we could hang out some time this summer to catch up. What else am I going to do with my free time?

Anyway, I really should have been asleep by now. I have to wake up early to get my haircut at 8. Gross, but yay! I don't know if I should get a trim, or cut it...

Davy

I almost forgot to post again.

Today was extremely productive. I woke up around noon, as usual, showered, and then started my day.

I e-mailed the ABI people, so hopefully they get back to me soon and I'll be able to start working and start that cash flow. I need to save up at least $300 if I'm going to consider visiting Erin before we start school. I have enough to visit Katy, but visiting Erin would be nice too. After I finished all that, I really started my day.

I met my dad and his neighbor at In-N-Out and followed them to some tire place. My tires were paid for, thanks to my refund check, but they hadn't been delivered yet. I turned around and made my way back to get a burger. I thought about going in, but I figured I might as well just go through the drive thru since I had never driven through one by myself before. I would've liked it to be more special, but it was good enough.

I ate my burger on the road and made my way to Rio. I wasn't there very long, but I did what I came to do. I enrolled for summer, now I just need to register on Friday. I just hope the classes I need/want to take are still open when my registration time comes. My dad hadn't called me yet about my tires coming in, so I waited for a bit at my grandma's house. It was nice seeing her, even if it was just for a minute.

My dad finally called and I made my way back to the tire place. They changed my tires awfully quick, and I was back on the road home. I was not up to going on a run today, but I did. And I felt better than yesterday, and I felt quicker. That's what I want. My dad is really adamant about working out together though. I'd like that, kind of, but I don't want him to see my tattoo. The longer I can keep it a secret, the better. I mean, it isn't a secret, but it's a secret from everyone outside of Pepperdine besides my mom and Rebecca.

The rest of the night went as usual, and now it's time for bed.

Boost

Organizing my closet didn't happen again. And it's not happening tomorrow either.

I was woken up around 9 this morning due to my mom talking really loud on the phone. It doesn't help that these walls are so thin either. And it was a conversation that I didn't really want to be hearing. I hate hearing that kind of stuff. I wish she would talk to me about it instead of trying to hide it, because she's doing a terrible job, but at the same time, I wish she wouldn't talk to me about it. I don't want to hear it and I just wish it wasn't there. I just wish I could pretend I didn't know what was going on.

My family keeps me in the dark about everything. No wonder I don't speak to people.

I sat around until 7 again when I went out to run. I was sore, but I felt better as I was running and I think I went a little faster. I have goals set in my head about what I want and when I want them, and I'm going to get it. I'm determined.

My evening was boring, full of TV and the internet, but I spent the last hour or so texting Katy, so that was nice. I really do miss her. But it looks like I'll be coming to visit around July 9th if all goes well. And Laura and I are planning on hanging out on Friday, so that should be nice.

rocky

Today didn't go as planned. But my plans never go as planned.

I woke up past noon, ate, and sat around until 2. My dad called and said I had to come over to sign my refund check over to him, and I had to do that before 3, so I rushed to get ready and get over there, taking out 2 of his Malibu lights in the process. Whoops. But whatever. In a way, I'm kind of paying for them anyway.

I was hoping to organize my closet and stuff today, but that didn't happen. My 3.2 didn't happen either. I ended up with a 3.47 for the semester and a 3.16 cumulative. Maybe if I ask nicely, or beg a little, I can declare my major. I'm less than a tenth away from a 3.2, so they should be lenient enough to let me declare.

I started "working out" today. I figure since I haven't done anything physical for a while, I'd start slow and work my way up back to where I was and possibly pass that. I ran around Rivera twice and came back to do abs. I was ready to give up halfway through my run, but I had a bigger picture in mind, so I kept going. I have goals set and I'm going to reach them.

The rest of my day consisted of Roommates, eating, sitting, and more TV. Hopefully I get stuff done tomorrow, like scheduling an appointment to get my hair cut. I really need one. And I got a random text from Nathan inviting me to some frat party Thursday night. No thanks mister. He needs to get the picture that we need to stop communicating. But maybe I'm being too harsh. Maybe I should give him another try. His 100th try.

I miss my friends. Cal and Pdine.

words

Rebecca and I always point out words that weird us out, but Katy and I started doing it too. We pointed out a lot of them tonight.

I was hoping to be productive today, but that didn't happen. I pretty much just sat around until 6:30ish when I finally got in the shower and got ready for my day. I did throw in a quick phone convo with Laura though. That was cute and random.

I spent a good chunk of the evening checking my grades on Wavenet in hopes of my 3.2. No such luck. I have a 3.2 right now, but I'm still missing my COM grade which will be a B or lower. I can pray for a miracle, but I don't know if I'm going to get one. I just worked so hard this semester to get that 3.2, and I've come so close, it's just frustrating. I supposed I could have worked harder.

At around 9, my mom and I left to go to the movies to see the new X Men prequel. I think I went to see the other X Men movies with her, so I wanted to keep the tradition going. I love Hugh Jackman and I love muscles, so a ripped, badass Hugh Jackman without his shirt was wonderful. And Ryan Reynolds was in it, ripped and without a shirt, so that was great too. My dad called during the movie and left a message, so I didn't hear it until after we got out. He wanted me to come over in the morning so we could do cardio. Then it hit me.

I would love to go work out, but I can't. Not with my dad. Working out means putting my hair up, and putting my hair up means tattoo. I'm not ready to show him my tattoo yet. I was texting Katy about it, and about my grandma, and about words, and about coming to visit. I miss her, but I just hope I'm not over doing it with the text messages. I don't think she minds, but I still feel like I should cool it a little bit.

rocket dog

Today wasn't all that eventful.
I woke up around 11:30 and didn't leave until almost 2.  I stayed at my dad's house organizing stuff until 5, and then I went to my grandparents' house to eat.  I stayed there for a while, but they were watching some basketball game, so it wasn't all that exciting.  Home wasn't all that exciting either.  My mom went out, so I've just been watching TV.  I'm a little tired, for some unknown reason, so I'll probably just go to bed.
Lame.

Cobalt

Bittersweet day for sure.  Seriously.

This morning went okay besides it being super early.  Katy and I woke up around 7 and started rounding up all of our stuff.  I finally pulled my car up around 8:30, when we were hoping to leave, and then the drama of leaving began.  Our room became quite bare very very quickly which was kind of sad and kind of erie all at the same time.  Before we left, Katy and I made sure that we wrote on the slats underneath the bed.  Idk what Katy wrote, but I wrote, "I blame the pineapple! -deLphina c/o '12."  Nothing fancy.  Then Sarah and Laura told us goodbye, we turned in our keys, and we were off.  The drive to the airport was a little quieter than usual.  I wasn't really in the mood for speaking.  I was too sad to say much of anything.

We made really good time on the way to LAX considering we left a half hour off our goal, but it worked out better that way anyway.  We parked at the top level of my usual parking structure, then hauled Katy's bags down to the shuttle.  I was definitely getting teary in the shuttle on the way to the terminal.  The thought of seeing my best friend/roommate leave was killing me.  We got to the terminal, I tipped the driver, and then we actually went inside.  We checked her bags, which were both 100 pounds, which was one of my concerns, and then it got even more sad.  We walked over to where we had to split up, hugged, and said our goodbyes.  As soon as Katy walked away my eyes started welling up.  What really killed me was the look back.  I lost it at that point.  I cried the whole way back to the parking structure and most of the way home.  It's going to be weird living without having her around.

I got lost on my way home, partly due to not paying attention because of text messaging, which is against the law but Katy's more important, but I backtracked and finally made it.  I ended up at my dad's house so I could unload the rest of whatever it was I had left.  Katy snuck a surprise for me in the back, but I didn't want to open it until she got home.  It took some will power, but I did it.  My dad and I went to Shabu Shabu for lunch, after almost an 8 month deprivation, and then when I was about to crack and open my surprise, Katy let me know she was home.  I opened the old Ralphs bag to find the cobalt blue hoodie with white drawstrings that I've been wanting but couldn't find.  I was sooooo excited.  I'm still very excited about it.  And she also included a cute letter that made me a little teary again.

I spent the rest of the evening at my dad's with the whole fam bam, and then finally escaped a little after 10.  I enjoy hanging out with my sister, but sometimes it's too much.  And my dad can be too much.  I hung out with my mom for a little bit and then got on the computer.  I decided to check to see if my grades were up yet, and 3 of them were.  An A in convo, a B+ in MSCO, and an A- in POSC.  I busted out a 94% on the final which brought my grade up to a 90.5%.  Talk about lucky.  So if all goes well, which it will, I'll have the 3.2 I need to finally declare my major.

I already miss Katy.  But I think it's really going to hit me later.  I survived over winter break, but that was different.  We weren't as close, and it was only a month.  She's my best friend and this is for four months.  It's going to be difficult.

17 Again

It was way better than I thought it would be, as was this whole day.

I woke up early to shower and study, but I didn't get all that much studying done.  This morning's shower sitch was kind of funny though.  All four of us were trying to shower at the same time, but I won over Laura, so it was all good.  I studied for a sec, then got ready, then ate a delicious burrito, and then studied some more.  Laura and I went to OneStop to turn in some paperwork, I sold back some books, and then I checked my mail.  My refund check came, so that was exciting.  I had time to drop it off in my room before my final, so I did, and then I went up to the CCB for MSCO.

MSCO wasn't all that bad, but it definitely wasn't easy.  I'm hoping for an A in the class, but I'll probably end up with a B.  That's fine though.  I came back, studied some more, and then Katy, Laura, and I went to take the POSC final.  That final was better than I expected.  I might actually get a high B.  Fingers crossed.

Post POSC consisted of ball throwing, goodbyes, and idle time.  Surprisingly, the goodbyes weren't all that bad.  I figured they'd be crying, but they weren't.  Erin almost was though.  It really hasn't gotten to me that I'm not going to see her for like 2 years.  Sad.

Sarah checked Katy and I out around 7:15 and then we went off to our "other final", which we both passed with flying colours.  Islands was delicious as usual, but I got tacos instead of my usual tiki tenders.  We fought over then check and then finally left.  We ended up seeing 17 Again, which was really good.  On the way home I really wanted to throw something into the ocean, since we went to the same theatre we had gone to the first time we hung out, and we threw stuff into the ocean that night too, but Ralphs was closed.  Big bust.

We got back to Hayes for the last time and packed a little more, and then the fun started.  We got Laura to go up on the roof and we just hung out there for a while talking.  We watched the moon go down behind the hill freakishly fast and saw a shooting star.  We talked more when we got down, and now I'm finally ready to go to bed.  Tomorrow is a sad, sad day.
